What questions should I ask before hiring an AI consultant?
Ask who does the work week to week, what “done” looks like at 90 days, which metrics will move and who owns the baseline, how vendor and data risk is governed, and what you must change in the operating model—not just the stack. Ask for a clear statement of what they will not promise. If answers stay vague on ownership, metrics, or sequencing, treat that as a signal to keep looking.
